Cancellation & Refund Policy
Website policy for lessons, packages, enquiry calls and payments

1. Purpose of this policy
This policy explains how cancellations, rescheduling and refunds are handled for Hagwon Education Plus tuition, enquiry calls, group sessions, packages and payments.
2. Free enquiry calls
Free enquiry calls may be booked through Calendly or arranged directly. Please cancel or reschedule in advance if you cannot attend, so that the appointment can be offered to another prospective client.
Repeated missed enquiry calls may result in Hagwon Education Plus declining further bookings.
3. Paid one-to-one lessons
Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a paid lesson.
Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed without notice, may be charged in full unless there are exceptional circumstances at the discretion of Hagwon Education Plus.
If a learner is late, the lesson will usually still end at the scheduled time and the full fee may remain payable.
4. Packages and summer intensive courses
Packages such as revision blocks, GCSE/A-Level boosters or summer intensive courses are booked as a set number of hours or agreed sessions. Package dates and times should be agreed in writing before payment.
Package sessions may be rescheduled subject to availability and the 24-hour notice rule. If a package has a fixed deadline or intensive timetable, rescheduling may not always be possible.
Unused package hours are not automatically refundable once a package has started, unless required by law or agreed in writing. Hagwon Education Plus will consider exceptional circumstances fairly and reasonably.
5. Group tuition
Group tuition depends on agreed dates, group size and the commitment of other learners. Once a group place has been confirmed, learners are expected to attend the full agreed package or course.
If a learner chooses to withdraw after booking, misses a session or cannot attend an individual group session, that session will still usually be charged. Group sessions cannot normally be rescheduled for one learner because this would affect other learners in the group.
If Hagwon Education Plus cancels a group session, an alternative session, credit or refund for the undelivered session will be offered where appropriate.
6. If Hagwon Education Plus cancels
If Hagwon Education Plus needs to cancel or reschedule a lesson, an alternative time will be offered. If a suitable alternative cannot be agreed for a paid lesson that has not been delivered, a refund or credit will be offered.
7. Stripe and payment processing refunds
Where a payment has been made through Stripe, refunds may be processed through Stripe where appropriate. Refunds may take several working days to appear depending on Stripe, the bank or card provider.
Hagwon Education Plus does not receive or store full debit or credit card details. Stripe processes card payments securely.
8. Consumer cancellation rights
Where a client books online, by email, by phone or through another distance method, consumer cancellation rights may apply. In many cases, consumers may have a 14-day cancellation period for services arranged at a distance.
If a client asks for tuition to begin within any applicable 14-day cancellation period, the client may be asked to confirm that they want the service to start before the cancellation period ends. If the client later cancels after lessons have started, Hagwon Education Plus may charge a proportionate amount for services already provided, where permitted by law.
This section should be read alongside any specific booking terms agreed in writing.
9. Exceptional circumstances
Hagwon Education Plus understands that genuine emergencies, illness or safeguarding issues can arise. Exceptional circumstances will be considered fairly, but evidence may be requested where appropriate.
