The first step is to send an enquiry by email, website contact form or WhatsApp Business. You can also book a free 15-minute online enquiry call.
You will be asked for some basic information, such as the learner’s age or stage, subject, current level, goals, preferred lesson format and availability. Yes. GCSE and A-Level support is a key part of Hagwon Education Plus.
GCSE tuition can include speaking, writing, reading, listening, grammar, vocabulary, exam technique, revision planning and confidence building.
A-Level French tuition can include grammar, essay writing, speaking preparation, themes, literature, film, independent research, exam technique and higher-level language accuracy.
Lessons are tailored to the student’s exam board, current level and target goals where relevant.
-
Lessons are structured around the learner’s needs, goals and level. A typical lesson may include a short review, focused teaching, guided practice, feedback, targeted tasks and next steps for independent study.
For exam students, lessons may include exam-style questions, speaking practice, writing feedback, grammar consolidation, mark scheme guidance and revision strategies.
For adult learners or EAL learners, lessons may focus more on fluency, pronunciation, confidence, everyday communication, grammar, vocabulary and practical language use.
-
Most one-to-one lessons are usually 60 minutes.
Longer sessions may be recommended for older students, advanced learners, revision blocks or summer intensive courses. Summer intensive packages may be delivered as 5 × 1-hour lessons, 10 × 1-hour lessons, or a smaller number of longer sessions depending on the learner’s goals and availability.
The recommended lesson length will be discussed before booking.
-
Lessons are available online and in person in London areas by arrangement.
Online lessons are usually delivered through Google Meet or another agreed platform. Learners will need a reliable internet connection, a laptop or tablet where possible, and somewhere quiet to work.
Online tuition can be highly effective for language learning, especially when lessons include shared documents, speaking practice, writing feedback and targeted resources.
-
Students are encouraged to turn their camera on at the beginning of the lesson to say hello and ensure everything is working smoothly. However, they do not need to keep it on for the entire session if they feel uncomfortable or anxious.
In most cases, having the camera on briefly at the start is helpful, but after that, it can remain off depending on the student’s age, comfort level, lesson type and safeguarding considerations.
Lessons remain fully interactive through voice, chat, shared documents and screen sharing. For younger learners, a parent or guardian may be asked to assist with setup at the start of the lesson. The overall aim is to create a calm, supportive and comfortable learning environment while keeping students engaged and focused.
-
Yes. Group tuition may be available where learners are at a similar level and have compatible goals.
Group sessions can be useful for siblings, friends, revision groups, speaking practice, grammar support or summer intensive learning. Group sizes are kept purposeful so that learners can still receive guidance and feedback.
Fees are usually charged per learner and depend on group size, level and course structure.
-
After an enquiry or consultation, Hagwon Education Plus will confirm the recommended lesson, package, price and payment method.
Payment may be made by bank transfer or secure Stripe payment link. Stripe payment links should only be used once the lesson, package or consultation has been confirmed by Hagwon Education Plus.
Bookings are not confirmed until payment has been received, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
-
Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a paid lesson.
Paid lessons or packages cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged in full, unless there are exceptional circumstances. If Hagwon Education Plus needs to cancel or reschedule a lesson, an alternative time will be offered.
For group tuition and package bookings, once a place has been confirmed, learners are committed to the full package. If a learner chooses to withdraw after booking or does not attend a scheduled session, the session will still be charged. Group sessions cannot be rescheduled on an individual basis due to the structure of the group and the commitment to other learners.
Free enquiry calls should also be cancelled or rescheduled in advance if you are unable to attend, so the appointment can be offered to another prospective client.
