1. About Hagwon Education Plus

Farah Kader trading as Hagwon Education Plus provides private tuition under the trading name Hagwon Education Plus.

Services may include French tuition, English Language tuition, English as an Additional Language, GCSE support, A-Level support, university-level support, adult lessons, conversation lessons, revision lessons, group tuition, summer intensive courses and related educational support. Tuition may be online or in person in London areas by arrangement.

2. Enquiries and suitability

Submitting an enquiry, booking an enquiry call or sending a message does not automatically create a confirmed booking. Hagwon Education Plus may ask about the learner’s age, stage, level, goals, subject, exam board, availability, lesson preference and support needs before recommending a suitable option.

Hagwon Education Plus reserves the right to decline a booking where the service is not suitable, where availability does not match, where safeguarding or conduct concerns arise, or where the requested tuition falls outside the tutor’s professional judgement or capacity.

3. Booking process

  1. The client sends an enquiry by website form, email, WhatsApp Business or Calendly.

  2. Hagwon Education Plus reviews the learner’s needs and availability.

  3. A suitable lesson, package, format, price and timetable are agreed.

  4. Payment details or a secure Stripe payment link are provided where appropriate.

  5. The booking is confirmed once payment has been received, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

4. Prices and payment

Prices shown on the website are guide prices unless a specific booking is confirmed in writing. Prices may vary depending on subject, level, lesson format, one-to-one/group arrangement, package length, travel, preparation required and learner needs.

Payment may be requested by bank transfer, Stripe payment link or another agreed method. Stripe payment links should only be used once the lesson, package or service has been confirmed by Hagwon Education Plus.

For Stripe payments, card details are processed securely by Stripe. Hagwon Education Plus does not receive or store full card details. Hagwon Education Plus may receive limited payment information such as payer name, email address, payment amount, payment status and transaction reference.

Hagwon Education Plus is not currently presenting itself as VAT registered. If this changes, pricing and invoices will be updated accordingly.

5. Calendly and enquiry calls

Calendly may be used for free initial enquiry calls. These calls are for discussing learner needs, availability and suitability. Booking an enquiry call does not guarantee lesson availability or create a paid tuition contract.

Enquiry calls are usually held online via Google Meet unless otherwise agreed.

6. Lesson format

Lessons may be delivered online or in person by arrangement. Online lessons may use Google Meet or another agreed platform. Clients are responsible for ensuring a suitable internet connection, quiet environment and appropriate device for online lessons.

Students are encouraged to turn their camera on at the beginning of online lessons to say hello and ensure everything is working smoothly. Cameras do not usually need to remain on for the entire session if a learner feels uncomfortable or anxious, subject to age, safeguarding considerations and lesson context. Lessons may remain interactive through voice, chat, screen sharing and shared documents.

7. Parent/guardian responsibilities for under-18s

For learners under 18, a parent or guardian is responsible for providing accurate information, ensuring the learner attends safely, ensuring an appropriate learning environment and being contactable during lessons where reasonably required.

Communication about learners under 18 should normally be through a parent or guardian, unless direct communication with an older student is agreed, transparent and appropriate for tuition purposes.

8. Cancellations, rescheduling and refunds

The Cancellation & Refund Policy forms part of these terms. In general, at least 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a paid lesson. Late cancellations, missed lessons or non-attendance may be charged in full unless Hagwon Education Plus agrees otherwise in exceptional circumstances.

Group tuition and package bookings may have additional restrictions because places, timetables and group dynamics are arranged in advance.

9. Consumer cancellation rights

Where a client books online, by email, by phone or through another distance method, consumer cancellation rights may apply. Where services are due to begin within any applicable cancellation period, the client may be asked to confirm that they want the service to begin before the cancellation period ends. If the client later cancels after tuition has started, Hagwon Education Plus may charge a proportionate amount for services already provided, where permitted by law.

10. Academic outcomes

Hagwon Education Plus will provide professional, structured and supportive tuition, but cannot guarantee a specific grade, examination result, school placement, university outcome or language outcome. Progress depends on attendance, effort, independent study, prior knowledge, exam conditions and other factors outside the tutor’s control.

11. Conduct, recording and lesson materials

Learners and clients must behave respectfully and appropriately. Abusive, discriminatory, unsafe, dishonest or inappropriate behaviour may result in suspension or termination of services.

Unless agreed in writing in advance, clients and learners must not photograph, screenshot, audio record, video record, livestream, transcribe with AI tools, copy or distribute any lesson, lesson extract, shared screen, tutor image, tutor voice, chat transcript, teaching materials, worksheets, slides, notes, feedback, model answers or resources.

Teaching materials and resources are provided for the learner’s private study only. They must not be shared, sold, uploaded, adapted, used for another tutor, used to train AI systems, posted online or distributed to third parties without written permission from Hagwon Education Plus. Unauthorised use may infringe intellectual property, confidentiality, privacy and data protection rights and may lead to termination of services and legal action.

12. Intellectual property and website content

All website content, branding, logos, lesson materials, documents, worksheets, teaching resources and original materials created by or for Hagwon Education Plus remain the intellectual property of Hagwon Education Plus or the relevant rights holder unless otherwise stated.

No permission is given to copy, reproduce, adapt, resell, distribute or use Hagwon Education Plus branding, content, materials or documents for commercial or public purposes without written consent.

13. Testimonials, photographs and publicity

Testimonials, student results, photographs or identifying information will not be published without appropriate permission. Where a learner is under 18, parent/guardian consent will be required before any testimonial or identifying information is used.

14. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so. Hagwon Education Plus is not responsible for losses caused by incorrect information supplied by the client, failure to attend, technical issues outside its reasonable control, lack of independent study, school/exam board decisions or outcomes outside the tutor’s control.

15. Termination

Hagwon Education Plus may terminate or suspend services where payment is not made, conduct is inappropriate, safeguarding concerns arise, terms are breached, the service is no longer suitable, or continuing tuition would be unreasonable or unsafe.

16. Governing law

These terms are intended to be governed by the laws of England and Wales.

17. Contact

Questions about these terms should be sent to info@hagwoneducation.com.
